Osun Government Is Committed To Sports Development, Growth- Aremo

— Canvasses Votes For Oyetola

In a bid to encourage youths and young people’s participation in sports, the Osun State Government said it would give adequate attention to sports development as a tool for youths engagement and empowerment.

The Special Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Youth and Sports, Hon. Adegboyega Adelabu Aremo, made disclosure while presenting soccer balls to players and youth of Gbeja Primary School, Osogbo, Osun state capital.

The Osogbo born Grassroot mobiliser said the gesture was part of his missions to engage youth and sport personalities on the need for them to continue to support the present administration in its bid to take the sporting activities to the highest level and cast their votes for Gboyega Oyetola.

Aremo said the socio-economic advancement and landmark developments the state had witnessed under the progressive government were enormous, saying that youths should reciprocate the good gesture by voting massively for Oyetola.

“The great things we have witnessed under the Progressives had never happened before. There’s no doubt in the fact that as youths, we have benefitted tremendously from the progressive government over the years and we would continue to witness more.

Aremo said: “No doubt, we have an abundance of talented youths in Osun State but government cannot do it alone, hence the need to seek the assistance of individuals”.

He assured Osun Youth of more empowerment and engagement opportunities, if Gov. Oyetola is returned in the July 16 gubernatorial election.

He said Gov. Oyetola would further transform Osun sports sector and create avenue for youth to be job makers rather than job seekers if given the opportunity to continue.

“I am happy to be here to associate with you and am excited with the population of youth I met here today.

“We may not be at the level people expected us to be in Sports but we are not where we were before. This is why we should all vote for Governor Oyetola who has been prudently utilising the meager resources the state is earning to embark on several projects.

“My presence here today is to fulfill my promise and to advice you to eschew violence and continue supporting our government.” he said

Some of the youth who spoke with newsmen appreciated the SA Youth and Sports for the gesture and assured him of their full support to the reelection bid of Governor Oyetola.

Among the sports personalities on the entourage of Aremo Adelabu were the National U20 Goalkeeper Trainer, Olatunji Baruwa, Osun United Coach, Waheed Olapade, a grassroot Politician Prince Ajibola Matanmi among others.
