Osun Residents Laud Gov Oyetola For Opening Of Olaiya Iconic Flyover For Public Use

As the residents of Osun State trooped out to witness the opening of the Iconic Flyover Bridge in the heart of Osogbo on Monday, the bridge has been described in superlative terms by eye witnesses of the event.

Speaking in an Interview with newsmen, the residents lauded the gesture of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for the ingenuity behind the provision of the facility.

Engineer Adejare Omotaye, Caretaker Chairman Ayedire Local Government said that the completion of the flyover bridge is value added to the State capital, adding,”it is a beauty to behold.”

While comparing the quality of the bridge to those constructed in the western world, Engr.Omotaye appreciated Governor Oyetola for giving the project to an indigenous company, saying his gesture was a morale booster to local contractors.

Prince Omoyele Ademakinwa, Commissioner 5, Teaching Service Commission, described the bridge as unique and one of its kind in the State, likening it to the types that are found in Ikeja, from Maryland to Airport road, and at Mokola roundabout Ibadan.

Prince Ademakinwa further described Governor Adegboyega Oyetola as a unique man who does unique things in the interest of the State, adding that his awarding the contract to an indegenous firm was a reflection of the fact that he has confidence in the ability his people, despite negative insinuations from certain quarters.

He then gave kudos to Peculiar Ultimate Concerns Limited for not betraying the confidence reposed by Mr.Governor, delivering to specifications.He also appreciated Osun people for their patience while the project lasts.

A trader, Mrs Mutiat Olajomo who thanked the government of Osun for opening the bridge,said the traffic movement in the area will boost her trade alongside other traders in the area, encouraging all to continue to support Governor Adegboyega Oyetola to ensure he is returned for a second term so that more dividends of democracy will be enjoyed by residents of the state.
