The governorship aspirant under the platform of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Osun State, Dele Adeleke has felicitated with Osun people on the celebration of Christmas.

In a statement personally signed by him, the governorship hopeful enjoined Christians in the State to seize the opportunity to pray for the state now that we are moving towards election year, also to show love to one another.

His statement reads, “We have journeyed through an eventful year 2021 that threw many challenges and events our way. Ranging from a continuously mutating COVID virus that has continued to challenge our public health, to skyrocketing inflation that is making a mess of the earnings of most Nigerians, and to every little success we were all able to achieve, 2021 was an indeed eventful year.

“The knowledge that Christ was born to save and liberate us, renews our hope that despite the myriad of challenges that we face as a people, we have the assurance of salvation in Christ Jesus.

“I therefore beseech us to show love to one another and our dear Osun State this Christmas and beyond, feed the hungry, cloth the clothless, provide shelter to the homeless

“If we show love to ourselves as a people, the problems we create for ourselves, through hatred, backbiting, bitter politics, unhealthy competition, needless rivalry, ethnic/religious animosities, even terrorism, kidnapping and other such antisocial acts will become things of the past. In love, we will also be able to unitedly build a State that works for us, through dedicated action.

“Let us give without grudge and love without reservations and preconditions.

“I wish us all a very merry Christmas and a prosperous 2021 in advance.

I remain yours truly.
