Osun Monarch, Olufon Of Ifon-orolu Joins Ancestors
A traditional ruler in Osun state, Olufon of Ifon-Orolu, Oba Almaroof Adekunle Magbagbeola Olumoyero II, has joined his ancestors.
The monarch passed on after a brief illness Tuesday.
It was gathered that the monarch gave up the ghost at a private hospital.
Causes of his death could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report.
A source closed to the palace said the announcement would soon be made officially.
Mourners, mostly residents of the town have gathered at the palace of the monarch to sympathize and express sadness over the development.
The National Publicity Secretary of Ifon-Orolu Progressive Union, Prince Jide Akinyooye, when contacted kept mum on the development.
He simply said, “wait for official communication from the governor.”
