One of the contestants for the vacant stool of Olufon of Ifon, in Orolu Local Government Area of Osun State, Prince Ademola Wasiu Oyedokun has congratulated Prince Wole Akinyooye, on his emergence as the Olufon-elect.

Oyedokun, who hails from Oluyeyin Ruling family, vowed to support the new monarch with everything within his reach expressing happiness as the issues surrounding the nomination of new Olufon was laid to rest with the emergence of Akinyooye.

Akinyooye emerged Olufon-elect after polling majority of Kingmakers votes, 4-1-1-1.

Reacting, Prince Oyedokun in a statement signed and made available to CityMirrorNews on Saturday rejoiced with Akinyooye and the entire sons and daughters of Ifon Orolu Kingdom as the state government is set to installed his brother , Akinyooye into the throne of the Olofon.

He specifically appreciated his teaming supporters for showing him deep love and commitment.

He said: “I Prince Ademola Wasiu Oyedokun congratulate the entire sons and daughters of Ifon Orolu Kingdom on having my brother Olúfọ́n-Elect (HRM) Wole Akinyooye as our next King.

“I did not get the role, as the government of Osun State has resolved the controversy and confusion surrounding Olúfọ́n Chieftaincy Declaration by settling for 1988 Olufon of Ifon Chieftaincy Declaration, which means my Oluyeyin Ruling family falls under Òrìṣàfi Ruling House of three branches. The last Ọba came from that Ruling House under this arrangement. Therefore, it won’t be my turn.

“Special thanks to all my teaming supporters who show me deep love and commitments. I witnessed love during this time. I marvel as some deployed their resources, lost their sleeps, and expensive times in my support … I appreciate all that with deep emotions.

“Special thanks go to Chief Babatunde Oyetunji Eesa⁩ of Oroluland and all Kingmakers. The Ilus, the Ijoyes, and all Ìláàsàs. I. P. U proved its relevance during this trying time for our Kingdom when we had interregnum and violent invasion. The Ifon Progressives Union President and Executives* , the elites who make financial and kind contributions to our security and political revelence, Orolu in Diaspora*, the Government of PDP at the local and state level, and our our local security personnel..and others too numerous to mention.

“I pray that the new Olufon of Ifon will work with elites from Ifon, Ilobu, Erin-Oṣùn, state government, and security agencies to bring lasting peace to our land with a view to entrenching cordial relationship that will outlive generations unborn for our common developments.

“While we are waiting for the Governor of Osun State to issue his letter of appointment after having majority of Kingmakers votes, 4-1-1-1, may the reign of Olúfọ́n Oluwole Akinyooye be long and peaceful with attendant developments. I will support him with all my strength as much as Kabiyesi may embrace. His success is mine in particular, and ours in general in Ifon Orolu Kingdom.

Long live Kabiyesi
Long live Oroluland

Kaaaaaaabiyesio”
