The Convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS in Ondo state, Chief (Dr) Alex Ajipe, has felicitated with Muslim faithful across the country as they celebrate the 2021 Eid-el fitri, urging them to use the period of the celebration to pray for peace and stability of Nigeria.
Ajipe, in a statement made available to journalists in Akure on Thursday by his Media Aide, Solomon Adewoye, said
messages of love, perseverance, self-denial, and others learnt during the holy month of Ramadan should not be discarded but should be applied daily by the Muslim in total obedience to the injunctions of Almighty Allah.
He said, “While I congratulate the Muslim faithful for the successful completion of the Ramadan, I urge them to sustain the spirit of godliness, charity, perseverance and spiritual intercession for the nation which were some of the lessons learnt during the fasting period.
“The spiritual intercession offered by the faithful during Ramadan for peace, progress and stability in Ondo State and the nation should be sustained, especially now that the country is witnessing security challenge.
“Therefore as we rejoice in celebration to mark the end of holy month, let us be mindful of the need to pray for peace and unity among the citizens, which form the fulcrum for the progress of our dear country.”
Ajipe, who also called on Nigerians to continue to live in harmony and tolerant of each other, irrespective of religion, tribe and language, therefore, wished the Muslims a happy Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
