Osun First Lady Calls For Safeguarding Policies For The Less Privileged
Wife of the Governor of Osun, and the President IleriOluwa Development Initiatives,Mrs Kafayat Oyetola, has reaffirmed her NGO’s commitment towards developing a robust plan that will help the less privileged to achieve their potentials in life for them to contribute positively to the growth and development of the society.
Mrs Kafayat Oyetola stated this in her office during a thank you visit paid to her by Mr Adetoye Oyebisi and his son Oluwajoba Adetoye who was in juvenile home for three years before the clemency of the the president IleriOluwa Development Initiatives.
Wife of the Governor who was impressed with the report on Oluwajoba Adetoye while in the juvenile home, called on governments at all levels and major stakeholders to embrace sustainable safeguarding policies and procedures that would prevent more children from falling out of safety nets.
Mrs Oyetola who appreciated the Honorable Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo and the Attorney General for the State, Mr Femi Akande
for their great supportive roles, added that through concerted efforts and sincere gesture, every child can accomplish his or her vision, stressing that what they need is the support to develop in an environment where they feel secured and safe.
Mrs Oyetola stated clearly that her NGO show vested interest in the boy case through his conduct and intelligent report while at the juvenile centre urging parents to take proper care of Oluwajoba inorder to achieve his dream in life.
Earlier in her remark, Osun Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs, Barr. Olubukola Olaboopo appreciated the first Lady for her motherly roles and the great intervention on Oluwajoba ,praying for more strength for her to do more, adding that by God’s grace, the boy will not disappoint the wife of the Governor over the great intervention.
Appreciating the kind gesture, father of Oluwajoba Mr Adetoye Oyebisi thanked Mrs Kafayat Oyetola and the Commissioner for Women and Children Affairs for their urgent intervention on the boy’s situation as he has lost hope totally on him.
He prayed for greater heights and continuous promotion for the NGO and successful tenure of the present administration in the state.
