Breaking: Minority Leader, Olagunju Ojo Becomes Oyo Assembly Speaker
Following the death of its erstwhile speaker, Michael Adeyemo, the Oyo State House of Assembly has gotten a new speaker in the person of Honourable Olagunju Ojo.

Ojo, was the minority leader of the House, emerged speaker before he emerged as the speaker.
The former speaker had died of reported heart attack at the Jericho Hospital in Ibadan, the state capital on April 27, 2018.
The new speaker’s emergence followed a poll that was conducted at the House, where Mr Ojo defeated the incumbent Deputy Speaker, Honourable Abdulwasi Musah and Honourable Segun Ajanaku, Chairman of Parliamentary.
The new speaker emerged the winner against expectations of many who thought Honourable Musah would clinch the seat.
