Osun Guber Race: Omisore Has No Intention To Contest– Close Associate

Senator Iyiola Omisore’s close associate Mr. Akin Adeyi has argued that the former deputy governor of Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore has no governorship ambition despite campaign billboard at Omisore’s campaign office announcing his aspiration.

Mr. Adeyi, while speaking on Rave Fm in Osogbo on Monday said as at the time he was speaking, Omisore did not have any governorship ambition as believed by many.

He confirmed that Omisore is still a member of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun state saying the former lawmaker may not have mounted the campaign bill board at his office in Ogo Oluwa.

A campaign board with inscriptions: “Senator Iyiola Omisore for Governor, Osun state,” had been mounted two days after supporters of Omisore burnt PDP flag at the factional Secretariat.

But another close associate of Omisore who was also speaking on the radio programme, Hon. Benson Adegbola, countered the claim of Adeyi and declared “formally ” that Omisore has governorship ambition and he would be running for it at the forthcoming September 22 governorship poll.

Adegbola, a chieftain of PDP said he could not confirm the political platform Omisore would be floating his governorship aspiration but stressed that he has intention of governing Osun.
