Breaking: Fire Razes 60-Shop Shopping Complex in Osun
A shopping complex located beside the Transmission station of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC), Odi-Olowo, Osogbo was engulfed by fire today’s evening.
Eye witnesses said fire erupted the complex with about 60 shops from behind. It was gathered that the fire started from a smoke at a workshop behind the complex.
Men from the state fire service were finding it difficult to extinguish the fire as it had gotten into the roof from behind and there was no enough access for the water tanker to move closer to the building.
Occupants of the shopping complex were seen hurriedly emptying theirs shops to prevent them from being destroyed by the fire.
The shop owners were crying profusely why carrying their goods outside.
The fire services are still battling with the fire as at the time of filling this report.
