Police Arraigns Two Siblings For Stealing In Osun

Two Siblings were on Monday arraigned before Osogbo Magistrates Court In Osun State for allegedly stealing N80, 000 belonging to Mrs Yaya Rukayat.
The siblings namely Kehinde Adeyeye aged 30 years and her sister Omolola Adeyeye were arraigned on three count charges bothering on conspiracy, stealing, felony to wit assault.
The prosecutor, Olayiwola Rasaq said the defendants committed the offence on October 14th, 2022 at Gbomi area in Osogbo.
He said the two defendants conspired together and stolen sum of 80,000 kept in Rukayat bag.
Prosecutor stated further that the two defendants beats up the complainant and inflicted injury on her face with her finger nails.
According to Rasaq the offence contravene section 390(9)section 5(6) 355 of the criminal code cap 34 laws of Osun State.
The two defendants pleaded not guilty to the three count charge.
The magistrates Mrs A.O Odeleye granted the two defendants bail in the sum of 100,000 with one surety .
Odeleye said the sureties must reside within the jurisdiction of the court, with evidence of tax payments and passport sized photographs, attached with an affidavit of means.
She thereby adjourned the case to November 8 for hearing.
