Man, 20, Remanded For Murder In Osun

A 20-year-old man, Omoboriowo Afeez has been ordered to be remanded in the police custody by an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo for allegedly killing one Olanrewaju Afolabi. CityMirror News Report .
Magistrate Olusola Aluko who gave the order said the suspect should be kept behind bars due to the magnitude of the alleged offence committed.
Police Prosecutor, ASP Ijoko told the court that suspect committed the offence on November 14, 2022 in Osogbo, Osun State capital.
According to Ijoko , the suspect conspired to commit felony to wit murder, adding that the accused unlawfully killed Afolabi.
He said the offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 324 and 319(1)of the Criminal Code Cap 34, Vol II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.
Court did not take the plea of the accused.
Handling down his ruling, Magistrate Aluko ordered that the suspect be remanded in the police custody just as he directed police in charge of the case to duplicate case file and forward it to DPP office for legal adviser
He, thereafter, adjourned the case till February 9, 2023 for mention.
