50-year-old Father Arrested For Raping 13-year-old Daughter In Osun
The Osun State Police Command, on Friday, paraded seven suspects who were alleged to have sexually assaulted six minors and a physically-disabled.
It was gathered that the suspects were apprehended within the months of May and June.
Among the suspects was a 50-year-old father, Adeleye Fayemiwo, who on the 17th of June, 2020 at about 07:00 am, around Agbongbe Street, Ibokun had unlawful carnal knowledge of his 13-year-old daughter.
One Adeoye Makinde, a 30-year-old man lured a girl of 13years old of the same address into his house in an attempt to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her on the 16th of June 2020 around 1:30 pm, at Y87A, Isona street, Ilesa
A 19-year-old boy, Afolabi Isiaka defiled a 7-year-old girl on the 17th of June, 2020 at about 6:00 pm, around Adekunle area, Ila-Orangun.
Meanwhile, on the 28th of May 2020 at about 5:30 pm, one Isiaka Adeyounbo of Ayelabowo street, Ile-Ife dragged a 16years old girl of the same address into his house and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
Also in Ile-Ife, a 28-year-old man, Oyerinde Oyeniyi had unlawful carnal knowledge of his landlord’s daughter, a girl of 11years on the 14th of June, 2020 at about 1:50 pm, in No. 62, Mokuro road.
Another suspect, Eronse Balat, was also arrested in Ile-Ife on the 17th of June 2020 at about 1130hrs around Tadenikawo Eleyele, for having unlawful carnal knowledge of his 23-year-old physically-disabled niece.
In Osogbo, a 75-year-old man, Jacob Ayinla has been charged to court for luring a 15-year-old girl into his house under the pretext of buying local ‘PITO’ drink on the 10th of June 2020 at about 6:00 pm.
After luring the 15-year-old girl of Aresa into his house, Ayinla who lived at Odiolowo area of Osogbo had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.
As at the time of this report, each of the victims has been taken to the hospital for medical examination and treatment.
In his address, the State Commissioner of Police vowed that rapists won’t find a safe haven in the state of Osun.
He urged parents and victims to always come forward with reports when it happens, adding that they should not be dissuaded from pursuing their cases to conclusion.
