Cynthia Osokogu’s Killers Sentence to Death
The killers of the postgraduate student of Nasarawa State University, Cythia Osokogu has been convicted and sentenced to death.
The Lagos State High Court presided over by Justice Olabisi Akinlade found the accused persons, Okwumo Nwabufo and Olisaeloka Ezike guilty of murdering Osokogu
Nwabufo and Ezike killed the deceased at the Cosmilla Hotel, Lake View Estate, Festac Town, Lagos on July 22, 2012.
Justice Akinlade held that the prosecutor had proofed the allegation against the convict beyond reasonable doubt, adding that the circumstantial evidence brought by the state in the prosecution of the six-count charge bordering on murder, stealing and conspiracy were convincing and compelling.
The judge subsequently sentenced Nwabufo and Ezike to death.
