Anozie Lauds Obasanjo, Jonathan,Buhari Over Second Niger Bridge
The Ezendigbo of Ibadan land and Oyo state and the Chairman Non Indigenes Traditional Council Of Ibadan and Oyo State (NITCIOS) His Royal Highness (HRH) Eze Dr Alex Anozie has lauded the federal government led by President Muhammadu Buhari and former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo and Good luck Jonathan over their efforts towards the building of the second Niger bridge in Onitsha,Anambra state.
Recalled that, the second Niger bridge will be commissioned before December,2022 according to news reports recently.
In a release signed by Dr Anozie, he enjoined all Nigerians to be happy with the Federal government over their efforts towards the completion of the second Niger bridge.
The Ezendigbo stated that he was particularly happy over the news bearing in mind that he was the first Nigerian who mooted the idea by calling on federal government to construct a second Niger bridge after which others joined in doing so.
He remembered that it was during the Igbo day ceremony of 2002 at the Liberty stadium, Ibadan when the late Chief Odumegwu Ojukwu was Ndigbo Special guest of honor adding that he made the call in his address at the occasion while it was published in the newspapers while Champion newspapers of December 14, 2002 was one of them.
Dr Anozie who gave kudos to the federal government said that he is elated with the Presidents who made this happen beginning from Obasanjo, Jonathan to Buhari even as he thanked them all while praying that God should bless Nigeria.
He however enjoined Nigerians to learn to praise governments whether federal, state or local government whenever they have done well just as they should be criticized when they have not done well noting that he called on the federal government to construct the second Niger bridge to ease the pain people are going through every time they drive across the only Niger bridge available then.
