UCL: I Don’t Even Speak Fluent English – AC Milan Boss Reacts To Tomori’s Red Card Against Chelsea

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli said he had told referee Daniel Siebert how he feels concerning the red card to his key defender, Fikayo Tomori, in the 18th minute of their Champions League 2-0 defeat to Chelsea at San Siro.

The Italian said he does not even speak good English to stand any chance of passing a clear message to the media but revealed that he had made his feelings known to the ref.

Tomori, a Chelsea youth team product, was sent off after 18 minutes as he appeared to tug Mason Mount on the shoulder inside the box.

The referee awarded a penalty which was converted by Jorginho to give the Blues the lead.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang doubled the lead for the Premier League side to secure all three points and make it back-to-back wins over the Italians.

Speaking after the match, a clearly frustrated Pioli said: “I don’t want to review the episode; it seems too obvious.

“I don’t want to comment. I told the referee what I think, I don’t speak not even so fluent English but I think he understood.”
