Chelsea Defeat PSG To Win Club World Cup
Chelsea on Saturday defeated Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) 3-0 at the MetLife stadium in New Jersey, to win the Club World Cup.
Cole Palmer scored twice and assisted another as the Blues delivered a clinical first half performance to silence the attacking threats of PSG.
PSG, who are the UEFA Champions League holders, finished the encounter with ten men.
It is a second trophy for Chelsea to cap a successful season, adding to the Conference League won in May.
The defeat ends Luis Enrique’s record of winning every final he has contested, suffering a first defeat in the 12th attempt.
Chelsea, however, made it six consecutive victories in international finals.
President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, was in attendance as sides paraded their best stars.
