Hoodlums Set Osun High Court on Fire

A section of the Osun State High Court in Ilesa was on Monday (today) morning set on fire by suspected hoodlums.
The High Court located at Ayeso area of Ilesa was set ablaze early hours of today, according to eye witnesses.
Security men on duty were tied up and macheted by the perpetrators while trying to gain access into the court premises.
Some documents of the court were also destroyed by the hoodlums before leaving the premises.
Chief Judge of the state, justice Adepele Ojo who visited the scene to assess the level of damage done, refused to comment on the matter.
Speaking with newsmen, the chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Ilesa branch, Mr Ebenezer Ogunfunminiyi, condemned the attack on the court of law.
Ogunfunminiyi said lawyers would henceforth boycott the court , claiming that their lives were in danger.
He disclosed that said efforts are in top gear to reaching the state Governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola towards ensuring adequate security of lives of workers in the court.
