The All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of Osun has described as a pathethic exercise in falsehood, deliberately concocted to mislead the citizens, the information published on a newspaper that the APC is losing hundreds of thousands of its members to the opposition PDP.

The party said none of its members has defected or planning to join the PDP and enjoined members of the public to disregard the wicked lie.

This reaction is contained in a statement issued from the party’s Directorate of Publicity, Research and Strategy and signed by its Director, Barr. Kunle Oyatomi and made available to newsmen on Saturday in Osogbo, the state capital.

According to the Party’s chieftain,, “there is no truth in the claim as published in the said Newspaper that hundreds of thousands of Osun APC members have been lost to the PDP, when it is actually the opposite.. Osun APC is not surprised that the sponsor of that story could descend so low in resorting to cheap blackmail and propaganda. The public is not deceived, especially the Osun people. They are highly intelligent enough to know that there’s no comparism whatsoever between the PDP and the administration of the progressive APC which is daily attracting endorsements for continuity from various groups and political personalities.

Oyatomi emphatically stated that no single, bonafide member of the APC in Osun has decamped or planning to join the parasite and crisis-ridding party.

Oyatomi explained, ‘whereas Oyetola is attracting attention and accolades from various groups and people as a result of the brilliant programmes and policies that are meant to promote the interest of the people of Osun. In whose benefit therefore will it serve to choose darkness when the light glows.

The party therefore appealed to any aggrieved member or group to please, drop their grievances and give room for total reconciliation, and then be resolute in their support for the Oyetola-led APC administration.
