Olaiya Flyover Will Be Delivered Within The Next Three Months-Commissioner

The Osun State Commissioner for Works and Transport, Engr Oluremi Omowaiye, has assured motorists in Osogbo that the ongoing Olaiya flyover project would be complete within the stipulated time frame.
Omowaiye gave the assurance while fielding questions from journalists, on Tuesday, after inspection of work at the site.
Omowaiye said with the level of work , he is hopeful that the project would be delivered within the next three months.
The commissioner, who was very exited with the level of work done at the site, said no fewer than 15 major roads would also be commissioned along with the flyover during the Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s third year anniversary in office.
He said the company handling the project has integrity and would not only deliver on time but would not compromise standard.
“Six months ago we started this project and we are on the activities of six months and if you look at the project you can see that we are doing significantly well and by God’s grace we are going to finish this project in the next three months.
“The work rate here is at 80 percent completion, which is an indication that we are moving faster than we envisaged.
“We make sure that we did not compromise standards and all regulatory bodies come here often and they see that we did not compromise standards.
“We are at the final stage of work and the last major thing is esthetic where this place would be given beautiful outlook.
“As a matter of fact, between 10 to 15 major roads would be commissioned along with the flyover to mark Governor Oyetola third year’s anniversary.” he said
He commended residents of the state for their perseverance and support since the commencement of the project.
CityMirrorNews reports that the state government, in February this year, inaugurated the N2.7 billion 625 metres flyover at Olaiya Intersection, adding that the project would be completed in November.
