BREAKING: Tension as Shiites clash with police in Kano, Many feared killed
Tension has pervaded the city of Kano, following the clash between members of the Shiite Islamic Movement of Nigeria and policemen on Monday morning.
CityMirrorNews gathered that over a dozen people including a police officer and members of the shite movement were feared killed from the violent clash.
It was learnt that the clashed started around Tamburawa, on the outskirts of Kano city, when the police tried to stop a Shiite protest.
The police have deployed heavily armed mobile police officers to the area while the major Kano- Zaria road is completely blocked.
