Olojo Festival: Osogbo South LCDA Chair Aspirant, Fasola Greets Ooni Of Ife

A Senior Special Assistant to Governor Gboyega Oyetola and Chairmanship Aspirant of Osogbo South Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Honourable Dayo Fasola has congratulated the African Paramount traditional ruler, Ooni of Ife , Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi on the success of this year Olojo Festival.

Fasola in a congratulatory message to the African foremost monarch said the indices for the following year are positive as evidenced by the Ooni’s vibrant emergence from the seclusion after his stay for seven days.

She stated that this good omen means better times ahead beginning from the year 2020 Olojo festival ; hence the need to celebrate.

Oba Ogunwusi had on Sunday moved into Ile Mole, Iremo Quarters, Ile-Ife, for seven-day seclusion as the ancient Olojo Festival kicks off in the city.

During the seclusion rites, the monarch was incommunicado and could not grant audience to any mortal.

Fasola said the seven days seclusion of His Imperial Majesty is a time for intense supplications and spiritual exchanges to guide in the coming year.

She added that the pointers shows there would be cause for every citizens of Ife and Osun as a whole to give thanks to the supreme God .

“As we all know the prayers points highlighted by Our Baba, Alayeluwa the Oonirisa when His Majesty was about to enter Ile Mole for seclusion rites was to use the spiritual moment to pray to God Almighty for total eradication of the coronavirus as well as for peace and stability in the Country. ‘

Describing Ooni Ogunwusi as the Champion and number one Promoter of Yoruba cultural heritage , the chairman hopeful thanked the Oonirisa for his efforts towards reviving the Yoruba language and tradition. Saying this has saved the Culture from going into extinction.

She also commended the Ooni for His commitment to the development of youths across the across country.

Olojo is a festival that denotes and celebrates the day of creation by God Almighty. It is also the anniversary of the first dawn on earth.
