Video: Funke Akindele, Husband Plead Guilty For Breaching Lockdown Rules
Actress Funke Akindele and her husband, Rasheed Bello pleaded guilty Monday for violating the social distancing rules of Lagos State.
The police slammed the couple with one count charge of breaching the rule imposed by Lagos government to stem the coronavirus pandemic.
Both Funke and her husband were docked this morning at Ogba Magistrate Court in Ikeja.
They were accused of organising a birthday party on 4 April in their residence at Amen Estate in Ibeju Lekki.
Attorney General of the State, Moyosore Onigbanjo, who led the prosecution said the couple violated Section 8 of the Lagos State Infectious Disease Regulation 2020.
Funke and her husband face a jail term of one month or N100,000 fine or both if found guilty.
