Osun Monarchs Back Oyetola’s Education Policies, Commend Him For “Superlative Performance”
Traditional rulers in Osun State have expressed support for policies of the Gboyega Oyetola administration on proposed plan to reverse the school names and uniforms to old ones.
The Obas, under the aegis of the Osun Divisional Conference of Obas, after their first quarterly meeting for this year at the Elerin of Erin-Osun, said the state governor, Mr. Gboyega Oyetola, with his team has their blessings for any policy that will improve the standard and quality of education in the state.
In their 5-point communique signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the Conference, the Orangun of Oke-Ila, Oba Adedokun Abolarin; the Aroyinkeye I, and the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi; the Odundun IV, the monarchs commended Oyetola for his “superlative performance” in the last fifteen months he became the governor.
The royal fathers also hailed the South West governors for proactive steps in establishing the South West Security Network known as Amotekun, assuring them of their support for the regional security outfit.
The monarchs expressed gratitude to the management of the Centre for Black Culture and International Understanding and the State House of Assembly for allowing them to ventilate their opinions and positions on the issue of security challenges in the South West and Nigeria.
The traditional rulers commended the State Council of Obas led by it’s permanent president, the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, for prompt intervention in the imbroglio involving the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdul-Rasheed Adewale Akanbi, and the Agbowu of Ogbabgba, Oba Dhrikulai Akinropo.
