Osogbo Master Printers Association Of Nigeria Installs Oyetola’s Wife As Patroness
Artisans in Osun have been admonished to use their God-given gifts and profession to contribute to the development of the state and the country at large.
Wife of the Governor of Osun,Mrs Kafayat Oyetola gave the admonition today during the centenary celebration of the Master Printers Association of Nigeria,Osogbo chapter held at the Osogbo township hall, Osogbo.
Mrs Oyetola who was accompanied to the event by the wife of the State of Osun Deputy Governor, Mrs Oyefunke Alabi and other wives of top government functionaries stated that the Association,which is a professional one, is the life wire of any society.
Wife of the Governor stressed further that the printing industry which has contributed immensely to the academic sector of any nation can best be described as a veritable partner in progress in the Nation’s educational system.
Mrs Oyetola then enjoined members of the profession to adopt the use of latest technology in carrying out their jobs in order to align with the best practices in the global printing industry.
The first lady reiterated that the Association is vital to the survival of all nations worldwide.
She further lauded the printing industry for its immense contributions to the academic development of Nigeria.
Also Speaking at the event,the Deputy Governor,State of Osun,Mr Benedict Alabi enjoined members of the profession to be more creative while discharging their duties.He also harped on the need for regular payment of tax for the ongoing dividends of democracy to continue unabated.
Earlier in his address of welcome the President of the Master Printers association of Nigeria,Osogbo chapter,Prince Azeez Musiliyu who went down the memory lane, disclosed that printing business started in Osogbo in the year 1920 by late Pa Joseph Aina from Ijebu,who led by example by impacting knowledge through printing business.
Highlights of the event was the installation of the wife of the Governor,Mrs Kafayat Oyetola as the patroness of the Association and award presentation to the founding fathers and past leaders of the profession .
