1st Anniversary: Osun Chief Whip Congratulates Oyetola, Describes Him As A Trailblazer

The Chief Whip of the State of Osun House of Assembly, Mr Tunde Olatunji says, the result of sectoral evaluation of the performance of the present adminstration in the state is a confirmation that the people of the state got a good deal in electing Mr Gboyega Oyetola as the Governor of the state.

Mr Olatunji in a statement to congratulate the Governor for his one year tenure of office, described him as a trailblazer who is indeed prepared for the job.

The Legislator in the statement posited that, “Mr Governor you have within a quatre of your first tenure epitomizes what sincerity of purpose, ingenuity, the capacity of private sector background, initiative and synergy can do in provoking purposeful and participatory economic development”.

The Chief Whip maintained that the capacity of the Governor was unambiguous with the simultaneous rehabilitation of 322 primary Health Centres across all the wards in the state, the strategic road project in different parts of the state, the light up Osun project beginning with Osogbo, and the improved facility in schools, particularly the elementary, middle and Grammar schools among other intervention in the infrastructure sector

He argued further that the Governor, beyond the tremendous impact in the area of infrastructure consolidation and economic rejuvenation, had incorporated civility, empathy, proactiveness and high level of responsibility into governance.

The Legislator noted that the fiscal discipline which is a culture to Mr Oyetola is indisputably manifesting in the finance of the state, eradicating waste and blocking all loopholes in government spendings to meet the needs of the people, justify their mandate and restore the value of probity for which they were known.

Of particular concern to Mr Tunde Olatunji is the disposition and focus of the Oyetola led adminstration in the economic sector, as evidently revealed with the recently concluded 3 days economic and investment summit in the state.

Mr Olatunji also assessed the administration in the area of Rule of Law,which is the fulcrum of democracy and consequently scored the government high in the areas of respect for the rights of citizens, commitment to their welfare and security as well as respect for the independence of the judiciary and the welfare of judicial officers.

The Assembly Chief Whip therefore canvassed unwavering support for the Governor from the good people of the State, while urging members of the ruling party to keep supporting the administration of a man who is doing them proud and will always fly the flag of the party to the admiration of all and sundry.

He however charged the Governor not to rest on his oars in the task of building a sustainable economy for the State.
