Eid-El- Maulud: Osun AGF Felicitates With Muslims, Preaches Tolerance

A group within the All Progressives Congress, in Osun state, Asiwaju Grassroots Foundation (AGF)
has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, the birthday of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

AGF in a congratulatory message, issued and signed by its State Coordinator, Comrade Tijani Sikiru and Comrade Yahaya Adeniji and made available to Newsmen in Osogbo, on Monday, particularly charged Muslims to emulate the life of the Prophet (SAW).

The group added that it is only by so doing that unity and peace can be attained, explaining that the current times call for greater emphasis on religious harmony, tolerance, and peaceful co-existence.

“We are at a time where religious harmony is a necessary ingredient of our daily life. This is because a number of revisionists are trying to hide under the passion that is usually inflamed by religion to cause disharmony and disrupt the peace.

“Islamic ceremony of Eid-el-Maulud would help to promote religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and mutual harmony among all Nigerians.

“Prophet Muhammad preached peace, truthfulness, faithfulness and he eschewed all vices including corruption and bitterness. Muslims should stick to his preachings. The Prophet was a complete man of peace,” he said.

AGF wished Muslim faithful and indeed all Nigerians a glorious Eid-el Maulud.
