Osun Deputy Chief Whip, Ogunkanmi Receives Methodist Church Award

The lawmaker representing Ayedire Constituency in the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Gbenga Ogunkanmi has bagged Methodist Church of Nigeria award of Excellence.
Hon Ogunkanmi , who the is Deputy Chief Whip of Osun state House of Assembly was conferred with the award of Excellence by the Methodist Church Nigeria, Diocese of Osun , Osogbo Circuit on Sunday , September 8, 2019.
The award ceremony was held at the Osun State headquarters of Methodist Church, Isale Aro, Osogbo.
Presenting the award to Hon Ogunkanmi, Bishop of Osogbo dioceses, Rt Rev Amos Kayode Ogunrinde described Ogunkanmi as God fearing human being who according to him has contributed immensely to the work of God in his constituency.
Hon Ogunkanmi who was the harvest chairman for the 2019 Harvest Thanksgiving according to Bishop Ogunrinde is a man who always keep to his promises, saying somebody like him deserved distinguished Methodist award.
“We selected Honourable Gbenga Ogunkanmi as one of the awardees because of his contribution to the work of God. He has through his God given gift, abilities and resources continued to promote God’s work in his community, constituency, church, state and nation at large.
“He has distinguished himself through his service to God and humanity. He has distinguished himself in faith and works in the church .
“He has been found worthy both in character and Christian discipline. I pray that God will continue to give you strength to do more.”
Speaking with journalists, Ogunkanmi thanked God Almighty for giving him ability to serve his people and vowed not to relent in his bid to bring development to his constituency through laws that would make life more comfortable for his constituents.
He appreciated the Methodist Church for deemed it necessary to honour him , saying the award would make him to do better.
