Two Ladies Socialites Nabbed For Allegedly Running Armoury in Oyo

Two young ladies who specialise in supplying arms and ammunition to armed robbers and smugglers have been apprehended by the Special Anti Robbery Squad ($ARS) of the Oyo state Police Command
The two female socialite were staid to have been arrested at a local hotel at Iseyin in the Oke Ogun area of the state.
Briefing Reporters in Ibadan on Thursday,the State Commissioner of Police, Mr.Sina Olukolu said that the leader of the syndicate operating with the Ladies and was identified as Fela has not been arrested by the police
The ladies have confessed to concealing a special pistol sent from Lagos to ease the operations of Fela and his gang in Iseyin on the fateful day.
The female suspects who were identified as Abu Ajoke and Ismaila Azezat were said to have made useful statements that would assist the police in their investigation,Olukolu said.
Meanwhile,three members of armed robbery syndicate were involved in a motor accident and were nabbed by police men who were on their trail in the state capital
CP Olukolu disclosed that the robbers attacked one Mr.Ayodeji Ojo Josua and dragged him out of his Armada Jeep at Eleyele where two members of the hoodlums forced their victim into the boot of the car and sped off.
He said that the distress call made the Police pursued the vehicle while the robbers sensing arrest,used the robbed car to intercept another Toyota Camry car at Ring Road adding that the newly robbed car was involved in an accident and the robbers were arrested at the accident scene.
He disclosed that one locally made pistol,three live cartridges’,Nissan Armadda Jeep marked MUS 705CE and other items were recovered from the hoodlums.
All the suspects,he stated,would be charged to court after discreet investigation.
Olukolu who listed so many suspects who were recently arrested pleaded to the members of the public to continue to collaborate with police in their efforts to rid criminals out of the state assuring that information given to police would be treated confidentially.
The Police boss advised members of the public to be circumspect of those promising to double or triple money deposited with them within a short period of deposit adding that they are now many operating under micro finance houses.
