Insecurity: Group Advises Nigerians, Govt To Give More Attention To Prayers

The Fellowship of Gospel Music Ministers in Osun (FOGMMIO), has advised Nigerians and the government to focus more attention on prayers to find lasting solutions to security challenges in the country.
The group said it is the power of prayers that can help Nigeria to overcome the current security challenges.
FOGMMIO called on government at all levels to ask prayers warriors to embark on special prayers for lasting peace and tranquility in the country.
A leader of the group, Mr Olusegun Abraham Corner-Stone, made the call during a visit of the group to the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), Correspondents’ Chapel, on Thursday, in Osogbo.
Corner-Stone said prayer has proven to be very powerful and effective in addressing societal malady
He further explained that there was no type of societal challenges that could not be addressed by consistent prayers, adding that prayers had helped to address so many problems that bedeviled mankind in the society.
According to him, “prayer is the only solution to the continuous insecurity problem in the country and must be supported with a strong Faith.
“The effective and fervent prayers of the righteous much and with that every religious bodies must engaged themselves for the good of the country, “he said.
He further said, “Religious bodies whether the Muslim or Christians must also pray for their leaders for them to succeed in moving the country forward with the wisdom of God.
Corner-Stone who cited 2chronicles 20 as the case of Jehoshaphat noted that effective praise was key to bringing down the glory of God and letting God take total control of all situations in the country.
He noted that the group would embarked on a day praise fiesta which would drew political leaders, religious bodies and citizens across the state to pray for the peace and progress of Nigeria.
The theme of the one day praise fiesta is titled’ Divine mercy in Music Ministry ‘
Corner Stone,however, praised security agencies for their relentless efforts towards ensuring that lives and properties of citizens were safe.
