I Will Not Abandon You If Given Opportunity To Become President, Atiku Assures Ondo Residents
The Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has assured Ondo people that he would not abandon them if given the opportunity to become the president.
Atiku stated this on Monday at a campaign rally in Akure, Ondo state capital.
The PDP Presidential Candidate noted that if elected in the forthcoming election, he would create enabling environment for the women and teeming youths across the 36 states.
While emphasizing the importance of youths in nation building, the former Vice President therefore promised youths 40 per cent appointments in his cabinet if elected to the youths.
He maintained that the most important of his administration if elected would be the transformation and restructuring of the country.
While speaking, the Director-General, PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Dr. Bukola Saraki, lamented the hardship Nigerians are experiencing in the last three and half years, saying that Nigerians have made costly mistake by voting President Muhammadu Buhari’s led government into power.
According to him, Saraki said that Nigeria needs a president that fully understand the pains and sufferings of the citizen, and that will quickly lift the citizens from abject poverty.
His words, “Nigeria is too rich to be poor and the best way we can safe ourselves from the hardship is to come out enmass and vote for Atiku.
“We cannot afford to experience another four years of suffering under this APC led government.
“We get feedback from our people across the country on daily basis, we cannot open our eye and allow the nation that our forefathers built to be destroyed.”
Saraki therefore urged the people of Ondo state to go into aggressive door-to-door campaign for Atiku and other PDP candidates.
The National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus urged Nigerians to rise up and have a collective reasoning in restructuring of the country as to make it a better place for all.
