Oranmiyan Group Congratulates Christians At Xmas, Urges Them To Pray For Continued Peaceful Co-existence In Osun

A sociocultural organization, in Osun state, Oranmiyan group, has congratulated Christians across the state and Nigeria at large on the cerebration of the birth of the Jesus Christ.
The group in a congratulatory message issued and signed by its spokesman, Olajide Sadiq, and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Monday, urged Christians to use the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ as espoused in Christmas to pray for peace, unity and love for the country.
Sadiq noted that with the nation preparing for general elections early next year, “no time is more auspicious than now to seek and pray for peace, unity and love for one another, because these are the virtues Christ symbolised”.
He also urged the people of the state to use the festive period to pray for the governor of the state , Mr Gboyega Oyetola in his bid to continue with the transformational agenda of his predecessor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola whom he described as an icon of dynamism.
Urging the Christians on the need to pray for the peaceful conduct of the next year general election, Sadiq appealed to residents of the state who are eligible to vote to come out en masses and cast their votes for APC.
He said: “As our brothers and sisters in the Christian faith celebrate Christmas, we rejoice with them and appeal to them to use the occasion of the celebration to seek the face of the Lord and pray for continued peaceful co-existence among the different groups in the state.
“We want to urge Christian brothers and sisters to use the advantage of this festive period to pray for the peaceful conduct of the next year general election and to pray for our Governor, Mr Gboyega Oyetola in his determination to continue to transform the state.”

Suing for caution and moderation as Christians celebrate, Sadiq noted that all residents have roles to play in ensuring that there is safety of lives and property before, during and after the festivities. Urging road users during the season to be more circumspect
