A security man, Abubakar Suleiman who was employed by the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, as a private guard has shot a 15-year-old boy dead inside the palace in Osogbo, Osun state.
When Daily Trust correspondent visited the palace, women and children were seen crying profusely and palace chiefs were discussing the matter while no one was ready to talk to the reporter.
The detail of what prompted the palace guard identified as Abubakar Suleiman to kill the boy could not be ascertained as at the time of filling this report.
The victim who was identified as Imole was rushed to hospital by the Osun State Ambulance Service paramedics but he died eventually.
The Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Fimihan Adeoye confirmed the incident. The CP also confirmed that the boy died and that the palace guard who shot the boy has been arrested.
Meanwhile, some witnesses told Daily Trust that the man that shot the boy is a policeman posted to the palace.

As a result of the incident, Osogbo was thrown into confusion as people were mourning the teenager, Imole, that was sent to early grave.
