Education Reform: Osun SUBEB PS, Kolawole Bags Baptist Church’s Award Of Excellence

IThe Permanent Secretary, Osun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole has added another feather to his cap as an Osun Baptist Church of Nigeria, Emmanuel Parish conferred an award of excellence in public service to the top education echelon in the state and fifteen others which includes the Ooni of Ife, his imperial majesty Ooni Ogunwusi Adeyeye Enitan Ojaja II.

The award conferment ceremony which took place at the church auditorium located at the back of John Mackey Elementary School, Oke-Ayepe, Osogbo, Osun State capital on Sunday 28th October, 2018 had in attendance people from all walks of life including royal fathers, head of federal and state government agencies and parastatals among many others.

Commenting on the exemplary public service life of Alhaji Fatai Kolawole, Reverend S. Olu Akande, the presiding pastor of the church said the Osun SUBEB PS is a perfect definition of modesty who relates very well with both the old and the young, saying he has used his position of authority to better lives of many through his rare generosity and kindness to all and sundry.

Reverend Akande further said “character moulding and preparation for global challenges ,leadership roles and virtuous ethos inculcated in Osun SUBEB under the leadership of Alhaji Fatai Kolawole marked out Osun basic education programs from her peers in the federation”.

In his speech, Reverend Olu Akande lauded the many innovations and initiatives including the far reaching reforms the government of the State of Osun introduced to the educational sector in the state, he concluded that the consistent brilliant performance of the State in public examinations has indeed vindicated the Aregbesola’s led administration that those reforms and unprecedented infrastructural development indeed worked well.

Other awardees are the Ooni of Ife, his imperial majesty, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunsusi, Ojaja II, Dr. J.T. Adekolawole, the Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ede, Comrade Jacob Adekomi, Chairman, Nigerian Labour Congress, Osun State, Mrs. Ayodele Kareem, Immigration, Osun State, Mr. Deola Ogunromila, VIO, Osun, Barrister Sola Ajayi among others distinguished personalities.
