Osun State Government under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola, has reiterated its commitment to the sustenance and promotion of indigenous culture.
The Permanent Secretary, Osun Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Fatai Adesina Kolawole, stated this while fielding questions from newsmen on Thursday 4th of April, at the grand finale of the 3rd ÀSÁ DAY.

Linking the synergy between indigenous culture and economy, Kolawole said “our economy is tied to our environment through constant patronage of locally made attires, fabrics, and other indigenous accessories which has a value chain because of many operators that are involved and it will empower all those operators economically.
He however advised the elites in the society to bring up their children by using indigenous language to teach their children and give them needed support, just as he appealed to the students to shun violence and other social vices such as drugs, alcoholism, bad gangs, cultism among others as government has provided an enabling environment to nurture their talents.
