NISAC, Public Holiday Acts Bills Will Create Employment For Millions Of Youth-FRAD

The bill for establishment of Nigeria Informal Sector Affairs Commission (NISAC), which was passed through the first reading in the National Assembly last week had been described as “welcome development” if it can be implemented.

The bill with two other, being sponsored by Hon. Tajudeen Obasa representing Ojo Federal Constituency Lagos according to Nigerians would promote peace and resolved crisis between groups in the informal economy.

While commenting on the bill in a Press Released issued and signed by the Chairman and Secretary, ‘Fresh References Africa Development’ (FRAD), Comrade Popoola Akinlolu and Engr Gbenga Iji respectively and made available to journalists in Akure, Ondo state capital at the weekend said the bill would generate revenue for the country.

The statement read further, “the bill will create employment opportunities for millions of Nigeria youths, it will also create enabling environment for addressing the needs of informal sector actors.

“Also, it will facilitate the transition of informal sector and serves as advocacy for informal sector operators in Nigeria”.

Other bill that was passed at Lower Chamber of the National Assembly are, Constitution of Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (alteration) and Public Holiday Acts (amendment).

FRAD however called on Nigerians to embrace the bills and commended the sponsor of the bills, Hon. Obasa for his foresight and concerned for Nigerians particularly youths.
