2019 General Elections: Cleric Calls For A Day Fasting, Prayer To Avert Calamities

Ahead of the 2019 general elections, the Founder, Prayer House of God Evangelical Ministry, Akure, Ondo State, Pastor Gbenga Akinbobola, has called for a serious fasting and prayer on July 1st, 2018 in Nigeria in order to avert calamities, and to seek God’s favour.

Pastor Akinbobola who made the call on Sunday in his sermon during a special programme held at the Church auditorium specifically solicited for divine intervention against resurgence of insurgency, among others.

According to him, he said that the spirit of God said, His brings all that has befallen the Christians fold in this country, because they had provoke His anger.

The Clergy therefore assured true worshippers of God in the country of fulfilment in all ramifications before year’s ending.

According to him, he revealed that God made enemies to prevail against Christians killings, taking over of land and farmland by herdsmen among others because of their sins.

He said, sins like fornication and adultery which even the ministers of God are no more frown at, Jezebel dressing in the Church, Altar of God has turned to comedians centre, messages on prosperity has replaced salvation messages, bringing stolen moneys to Church, rituals in secret places by men of God, Churches are now business centers.

Pastor Akinbobola said satan is happy with the activities in the Churches, because Heaven is losing.

His words, “I was shock, when God told me that these killings in Nigeria are ‘not political agenda, neither Busari’s making but it’s God’s anger brought on us. The spirit of God even said if it is Christian that is there as President, same thing will happen’.

The Clergy therefore said the only way out from the resurgence of insurgency in the country is to seek God’s intervention through a day fasting and prayer.

“All Christians in this country must cry to God on July 1, 2018 for mercy. Secondly, they must return to the old path (Jer 6:16).
May God have mercy upon us in this country”.
