PDP Should Be Wary Of Corrupt Leaders, Chieftain

As the political atmosphere is becoming rosy in Osun state, a chieftain of Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in ward 2 of Osogbo  local government in the state, Hon. Abideen Adebayo has advised the party executives to be wary of corrupt leaders and political harlots in order to have clean and clear victory in the coming September, 22 guber poll in the state.

Adebayo said, the party executives should look inward and allow the sellable and credible candidate to emerge as the party’s standardbearer so as to meet up with the yearnings of change the people of the state is clamouring for.

The former ward chairman of the party while addressing journalist in Osogbo on Tuesday averred that, level playing ground should be given to all aspirants during the primary and allow the people’s choice to emerge as the party’s candidate.

He implored the executives of the party to as a matter of importance devoid of moneybag aspirant but rather work assidiously in ensuring emergence of sellable and people’s choice candidate in order to have cleanbill when it comes to election on September 22, this year.

He said,” all aspirants must come out in an open field and tell us his or her manifestoes, then we will know who and who should be our candidate and not meeting the aspirants in party office but must be an open discussion”. He added.

Adebayo added that, the party need exposed, credible and good administrators, maintaining that the party should not allow some corrupt leaders to cause misfortune for the party in their own selfish interest.

He noted that, although everybody has equal right to contest but good administrators, well influential and articulate who has all what it takes to lead and rescue the state from the economic instability and restored the lost glory of the state is needed
The party chieftain also implored the leaders of the party to capitalised on the weak point of the APC rulling party and work in tadem with rules to produce acceptable candidate for the party, adding that due process must be followed in selecting candidates who can deliver the state from the sackles of poverty.

He advised that, unseriuos aspirant should withdraw from the race as the happenings now determines the future of the state.

He emphasised on the need to have open screening for all the aspirants to know their indepth and their fitness for the position and not rigmarrowing on a particular candidate because he has money.

Abideen however enjoined the people of the state to open their eyes and be wise so that the lagosians will not have their ways in the state again.
