DJ Bassman 38th Birthday: A Moment He Will Never Forget In a Jiffy

Barely 13870 days ago‎, equivalent to 456 months or better-still, 38years ago in Ile- Ife , a child was born into the family of Pa Ekundayo (A Police Officer) and named Saheed Oluwaseun Tanimola Ekundayo-Salawu due to the mythical circumstances that enveloped his birth.

Being the last in a family of five from his mother. He was single-handled raised by his Late Mother Alhaja Fowosere Ekundayo-Salawu (Iya Adinni of Eleyele Mosque Ile Ife, CEO Igbehin Adun food canteen aka Sowofue) when his father Ekundayo (Baba Olopa) died in 1982.

The innocent Oluwaseun, having born into the family that Is neither poor nor rich, took the bull by the horn in scaling through the viccimilitude of life as the parents strived so hard to fulfill parental commitment on him and his siblings.

There is no doubt that the little Oluwaseun grew in the ghetto where clanish lifestyle reigned. He had his basic education at a place that could be best described as “surface-dungeon” where knowledge was neither celebrated nor glorified.

But in spite all hurdles and unavoidable challenges that engulfed his upbringing, the little Oluwaseun did not despair but rather strived hard to acquire best education.

Oluwaseun, a child of nobody, studied Mass Communication at the famous Osun State Polytechnic, an institution that had produced veterans in the information and communication world.

He, Oluwaseun chose a career in entertainment industry having completed and bagged Higher National Diploma Certificate in Mass Communication, a career that turned him to celebrity locally and internationally.

The poor child that was born in the early 80s however took a lesson on the best way to live a contented life from the circumstances that led to his birth and existence on earth as he worked harder to achieve greatness through the dint of hardwork, patience and pereverance.

Today, Oluwaseun has shaped and reshaped entertainment industry in the state of Osun as he has not only written his name in the sound of time but placed his family’s reputation on the platter of gold.

Oluwaseun! An official Disc Jockey (DJ) to Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun has redefined the entertainment industry and spiced up the industry with colourful programmes like Queen Osun, Miss Tourism, Beautiful Pageant, Osun Music Awards among others.

The most significant moment in this gentle man’s life is the fact that he believes so much in humility as he knows that humbleness is the hallmark to greatness.

The entire electronic magnetic radiation waves that empowers Internet networking was pre-occupied as messages, in all forms and through all social media networks like twitter, facebook, instagram among others were trickled in enmasse to celebrate a worthy young man- Oluwaseun.

Though Oluwaseun Ekundayo-Salawu has been marking and celebrating his birthday, but his 38th birthday took a significant dimension with colourful honours, wishes, messages that trickled in across the globe.
