2019: MAOS President, Ojelabi Charges Youths On PVC Collection
The National President, Mass Communication Alumni (MAOS) Osun state Polytechnic, Iree, Comrade Sunday Ojelabi has urged youths to get registered, collect their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and participate actively in the nation’s electoral process.
Ojelabi gave the admontion while addressing members of MAOS, Osun state chapter during their monthly meeting held at NUJ press centre, Osogbo
Ojelabi who stressed the need for youth who are yet to register to do so said without PVC they would not be able to exercise their civic responsibility.
He further explained that youths should not sit at home and criticise leaders; when their impact in enshrining good governance, can be achieved with their numerical strength.
Speaking on the coming September 22 gubernatorial election in Osun state, the President Osun state chapter of MAOS, Olayemi Sanusi, urged the citizen, who have reached the age of eighteen years to collect their PVC, saying it is only a tool with which they can use to elect the governor of their choice.
Sanusi who appealed to members of the association to remain united said they should desist from anything capable of causing differnces among the members of the association both in home and diapora
The forum, which next meeting will hold in April, was attended by over 20 members from within and outside Osogbo, the state capital.
