I Use Made In Nigeria Products Because I Was Made In Nigeria- Oluwo

The Oluwo of Iwoland, HIM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi Telu I, has related his patronage of local products to his naturalness of being a Nigerian, saying he uses made in Nigeria products because he was also a made in Nigeria soul.

In his unusualness, Oluwo said he is ready to erect monumental billboards to advertise and promote selected made in Nigeria goods to boost the country’s potentials.

According to him, I patronize local goods to lay an example for Nigerians, whom are my children to emulate me. I’m erecting billboards in some strategic locations to promote local products.

“I’m made in Nigeria, I detest using foreign materials especially when those goods are made here. My dresses, accessories and embroideries are made here in Nigeria. I just bought a vehicle (G-wagon 80) made by Innocent Chukwuma, the CEO of Innoson Manufacturing Company.

Oluwo hinted many advantages associated with patronizing local products. Apart from improving the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of Nigeria, it will provide employment and position Nigeria as the giant of Africa.

Speaking on the reason for using Innoson vehicle made in Nnewi, Anambra State, he said he considered the product as the best glory of all the Nigeria made products that must be promoted and patronized by patriotic citizens.

Oba Akanbi prayed government to enact a decree mandating the use of made in Nigeria products by its agencies and parastatals. ” If the present government truly love this country, they should domesticate the use of local materials most especially Innoson vehicles. There are many advantages imbedded in local materials especially Innoson vehicles; no custom papers, it is more quality and luxurious” said Oluwo.

“If I have my way financially. I would be the first to construct refinery in Nigeria. We have everything to our advantage in Nigeria. But many thongs are wrong with Nigerians. We need a change of attitude and mind towards our home made goods”
