Community Security Docked Over Attempt To Burgle Shop In Osun

A 64-year-old security guard, Jimoh Mufutau has been arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, Osun State capital over the allegation of attempted burglary and theft of a shop.
Mufutau who was said to have been the community security in charge of the an investment company including seven other shops at Agowande Area,Osogbo for some time now.
Police Prosecutor, Oladoye Joshua had told the court that the accused on 31st of July, intended and attempted to burgle a shop of Nwabueze Christian Ifeanyichukwu located at Agowande Area,Osogbo at about 10:11pm.
He added that the offence was contrary to and punishable under Section 508 and 509 of Criminal Code Cap 38, Vol.11, Laws of Osun State 2003.
The Defense Counsel,Okobe Nagite applied for the bail of the accused person in a most liberal terms,
Najite added that the suspect was still presumed innocent until contrary is proved by a court of law.
He however assured the court that reliable sureties were ready to stand for the accused and he would not jump bail if granted
In her ruling, Magistrate O.A Oloyade granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with three sureties in the like sum who must swear to affidavit of means.
She, therefore adjourned the case to 16th of October for hearing
