Osun Police Declare Alowonle, Sibi Wanted Over Emir’s Murder

-Police urge public to provide information on suspects’ whereabouts

–warn against harbouring them

The Osun State Police Command has declared two men, Nurudeen Iyanda Wakeeli, popularly known as Alowonle, and Adeyemi Ojo, also known as Sibi, wanted in connection with the alleged murder of Olalekan Oyeyemi Ajagungbade, popularly called Emir.

The command announced the development in separate public notices issued on Friday by its Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abiodun Ojelabi, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police in the state.

The police called on members of the public to provide credible information that could assist security operatives in locating the two suspects and advancing the investigation into the alleged murder.

According to the notice, Wakeeli is an adult male of Yoruba origin, approximately 1.70 metres tall, with a dark complexion, white teeth, a pointed nose, an oblong head and black hair.

The command said he was wanted in connection with the murder of Ajagungbade, warning that anyone found harbouring him would be treated as an accomplice to the alleged crime.

Similarly, Ojo, identified in the notice as a Nigerian from Ile-Ife, Osun State, was declared wanted over the same murder case.

The police described him as an adult male, approximately 1.70 metres tall, with a dark complexion, white teeth, a pointed nose, an oblong head and black hair.

The command appealed to residents and anyone with useful information about the suspects’ whereabouts to assist the police in their efforts to locate them.

It also urged members of the public not to conceal information that could help investigators, while reiterating its warning against harbouring the wanted men.

Members of the public can also report any relevant information to the nearest police station.

The declaration comes as the command seeks public assistance in its investigation into the killing of Ajagungbade, popularly known as Emir.
