Rasheed Bolarinwa: OSAF Celebrates Osogbo’s ‘Worthy Ambassador’ At Birthday
The Osogbo Affairs Forum (OSAF) has felicitated one of Osogbo’s accomplished sons and Group Head, Brand Management and Corporate Communication at Polaris Bank Limited, Alhaji Rasheed Bolarinwa, on the occasion of his birthday.
In a congratulatory message jointly signed by the Convener of the Forum, Prince Hameed Oyegbade, and Chairman of its Steering Committee, Abdulrahman Okunade, Esq., OSAF described Bolarinwa as an accomplished corporate communications strategist, marketing professional, community leader, devout Muslim, exemplary family man and worthy ambassador of Osogbo.
The Forum said Bolarinwa had, over several decades, built an enviable reputation through his contributions to marketing, advertising, branding, corporate communications and stakeholder engagement, particularly within Nigeria’s financial services sector.
According to OSAF, Bolarinwa belongs to the select group of communications professionals whose expertise and professional standing are recognised across the three major regulatory and professional institutions in Nigeria’s integrated marketing communications industry.
The Forum noted that his status as a Fellow of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria (NIMN), member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and registered practitioner of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) underscored his commitment to professionalism, integrity and excellence.
OSAF also paid tribute to Bolarinwa’s leadership as the immediate past President of the Association of Corporate Communication and Marketing Professionals in Banks (ACAMB), a position he held for four years.
The Forum described his tenure as a period of visionary leadership, innovation and institutional strengthening, which it said significantly enhanced the visibility, relevance and influence of the association within Nigeria’s banking industry.
“Under his stewardship, ACAMB witnessed unprecedented growth in visibility, relevance, stakeholder engagement, capacity development and industry influence.
“His leadership elevated the association to the enviable status it enjoys today and earned him widespread recognition and respect within the banking industry and beyond. His contributions have left an indelible mark on the association and strengthened its standing as the foremost body for corporate communication and marketing professionals in the Nigerian banking sector,” OSAF stated.
Beyond his professional achievements, the Forum described Bolarinwa as a committed community leader whose love for Osogbo and contributions to the development of the ancient town remained evident through his active participation in initiatives promoting its progress, unity and image.
OSAF commended his consistent advocacy for the growth and advancement of Osogbo and Osun State, noting that despite the demands of his professional responsibilities, he had remained connected to his roots and committed to causes that promote the well-being of his people.
The Forum stated, “Rasheed Bolarinwa represents the finest values of Osogbo—professional excellence, purposeful leadership, humility, integrity, devotion to faith and an abiding commitment to community development.
“He has distinguished himself not only as a leading corporate communications professional but also as a proud son of Osogbo who continues to contribute meaningfully to the advancement of his hometown.
“Beyond his professional accomplishments, he has remained a dependable advocate for the progress of Osogbo and a source of inspiration to younger generations seeking to excel in their chosen careers while remaining connected to their heritage and community.
“We are immensely proud of his accomplishments and grateful for the positive impact he continues to make within the banking industry, the marketing communications profession and the Osogbo community.”
OSAF further extolled Bolarinwa’s personal qualities, describing him as humble, approachable and compassionate, with a strong commitment to service, professionalism and family values.
The Forum said these qualities had earned him the respect and admiration of colleagues, associates and members of the wider community.
While celebrating him on his birthday, OSAF prayed Almighty Allah to grant Bolarinwa continued good health, wisdom, peace, prosperity and greater accomplishments in the years ahead.
“As you mark another birthday, we celebrate a life of impact, service and achievement. May Almighty Allah continue to bless you abundantly, enlarge your coast, strengthen you for greater service to humanity and grant you many more fruitful years in good health and happiness,” the Forum prayed.
