BREAKING: Oyebanji Secures Landslide Victory In Ekiti Governorship Poll
Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been reelected as governor of Ekiti State after emerging victorious in Saturday’s governorship election.
The declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), confirms Oyebanji’s return for a second term in office.
Oyebanji polled 319,224 votes to defeat his closest challenger, Dr. Wole Oluyede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who garnered 40,543 votes.
The candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ambassador Dare Bejide, finished third with 12,872 votes.
With the result, the APC has retained control of Ekiti State, extending the party’s hold on the governorship seat.
