Osun APC Never Lost Any Major Election – Oyegun

The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), John Oyegun has described Osun state as a major strength of the party in the South-West, saying that the state has never lost any major election since the formation of the APC.
Oyegun who led other national officers of the APC to campaign for the candidate of the APC for Osun-West Senatorial District by-election, Senator Mudasiru Hussain at a mega rally held in Iwo yesterday, said Osun people has demonstrated their love and support for the party through their votes.
The APC chairman urged the people of Osun-West to vote for Hussain in the July 8 by-election, stating that Osun would have a front seat at the senate if the APC candidate emerged victorious at the poll.
He said: “I want to appreciate the people of Osun state, for your love and support for the APC. Osun has never lost any major election since the APC came to existence, despite the economic hardship and the challenges created by the Peoples Democratic Party led Federal Government.”
Oyegun who described Governor Rauf Aregbesola as a ‘though governor’ urged the people of the state to continue supporting the APC at the state and national level.
Speaking at the rally which was attended by Governors of Borno and Kebbi States, Kazeem Shettima and Atiku Bagudu respectively, Aregbesola alleged that the opposition parties were planning to buy votes, telling the APC supporters to be vigilant.
Aregbesola charged the voters to report anybody who offers them money for vote on the election day to security agents on duty, just as he urged the people to come out and vote for the APC candidate.
