2027: Atiku’s Son Declares Tinubu Unbeatable
Abba Atiku Abubakar, son of former Vice-president, has declared that no political party or individual can defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
The comment is coming in the wake of the resolve to contest the coming election by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku is pursuing a presidential ambition on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The junior Atiku spoke in Yola, capital of Adamawa state after his formal registration as a member of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at Gwadabawa Ward in Yola North.
According to Abba, “I want to make it very clear that nobody or any political party can stop President Bola Tinubu from returning to Aso Rock come 2027.
“Nigerians have seen his good work; he is not a tribalist, and he doesn’t make appointments based on religion or region, but his decisions are purely on merit.”
He added that Nigerians have observed the president’s performance and leadership which is based on merit rather than tribal or regional considerations.
He said his decision to join the APC was motivated by “the far-reaching economic and human development reforms delivered under the Tinubu administration.
Abba highlighted infrastructure expansion and human capital development across the country as key achievements of the current administration that encouraged his realignment.
He urged Nigerians across party lines to rally behind President Tinubu to sustain the progress.
APC leaders in the state welcomed the move as a significant boost for the party ahead of the 2027 general election.
The former vice-president’s son had earlier pledged to mobilise support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid as part of the party’s grassroots strengthening efforts.
Atiku had described his son’s decision as a personal choice.
Daily Trust reports that Abba’s defection has attracted contrasting views within political circles in the country.
