Adamawa NSCDC Officer Promoted For Returning Misplaced N850,000 Pilgrim’s Money
An official of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) serving in Adamawa State, Abubakar Moyos, has gained promotion for recovering and returning a total sum of N850,000 that a pilgrim misplaced.
The Commander of the NSCDC in Adamawa State, Idris Bande disclosed on Wednesday that last Friday, May 26, 2025, Abubakar Abdukadir Moyos demonstrated honesty by returning a bag that he found belonging to one Maumuna Salihu, an intending Muslim pilgrim from Taraba State who was travelling for the 2025 Hajji via the International Airport, Yola.
“In the bag was 500 US dollars and 300 Saudi Riyal, totalling N850,000,” the commandant disclosed.
During the ceremony in Yola to honour Abubakar Moyos, the commandant said Moyos’ integrity uplifts the NSCDC as an institution.
He thanked the NSCDC Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Audi, for his belief in honouring honesty.
He said the commandant general approved the promotion of Moyos from Corps Assistant II to Corps Assistant I with immediate effect.
The commandant gave Moyos a certificate of recognition and urged him to continue to be a model of integrity.
