Osun State House of Assembly is to set up a committee to resolve grey areas on the management of Primary Health Care Development Board.
This followed the demand for involvement of local government staff in the management of the board by President of Nigeria Union of Local Government employee who visited the Assembly.
In a statement by the Chairman, House on Information and Strategy, Honourable Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, the Assembly would look into their demands dispassionately.
The Speaker, Rt Hon Najeem Salam told the union to present five persons who will represent them in the committee.
Salam hinted that all relevant stakeholders would be invited to the committee for a fair hearing with a view to finding lasting solutions to the matter.
He lauded the leadership of the union for its maturity submitting that the dialogue was the best option to resolve issues rather confrontation.
Najeem promised that the house would not rest on its oars and would ensure fairness, justice and equality in all its dealings to make life bearable for its citizenry.
Speaking, the President of the Union, Mr Adedeji Adeyeye demanded for ninety percent involvement of its members in the management of Primary Health Care Development Board.
Mr Adeyeye who frowned at the composition of staff of the board by state officers noted that the councils were blessed with competent staff that could work and manage the board effectively.
He decried the situation whereby the board would be dominated by staff from the state, saying the situation was unacceptable to the union.
The NULGE President who also registered their displeasure over the experience of those on level 15 who had been integrated to the state service said the issue equally needed urgent attention
