Bethel Baptist Church Celebrates 30th Anniversary

Activities to mark the 30th anniversary of the Bethel Baptist Church, Idimu, Lagos will commence on Friday with a power-packed revival after the street evangelism.

According to a statement signed by the minister-in-charge of the Church, Rev. AA.G. Fakorede, the program will run for three days to celebrate 30 years of God’s faithfulness to the Church and the people of God.

He said that the Church was established in 1993 and has since been growing spiritually, physically, and numerically.

He added that during the program, past leaders and other deserving people who have contributed significantly to the Church would be appreciated.

The statement reads:

“We thank God for His faithfulness over Bethel Baptist Church, Idimu, Lagos for the past three decades.

“In the last 30 years, we have witnessed growth in all areas of the Church activities and members. We are growing spiritually, physically, and numerically. Our members are doing great exploits in their families, careers, and businesses, and evangelizing for the Kingdom’s expansion.

“Different programs have been earmarked for the 3 three days. The program will commence on Friday with street evangelism and thereafter, we will retire to the Church by 6 pm for a power-packed revival. Our revivalist is the Vice Chairman of Lagos West Baptist Conference, Rev Dr. Bolaji O. Akinola.

“It is a three-in-one program on Saturday as we shall be having an appreciation service where we will honor those who have contributed to the mission work for kingdom expansion through the Church and former leaders. We shall have a Church Building fundraising and we shall also launch the book titled “The Bethel: History of Bethel Baptist Church (1993-2023)”. It’s a book that details the history of the Church since its inception.

“We have invited dignitaries to join us in thanking God for His faithfulness. We have also invited anointed men of God to bless the people among whom are the Lagos West Baptist Conference President, Conference, Rev Dr. S.O Oladiran, 1st Vice Chairman of the Conference, Rev Dr. O.A Akinola, Moderator, Victoryland Baptist Association, Rev Dr. Moye Opatola, and Consultant to the Association, Rev P.O Oyedemi among others.

“The anniversary would be rounded off through a Thanksgiving Service on Sunday in the Church auditorium. Guests and members would have the opportunity to grace the red carpet on Saturday morning between 8 am and 10 am.”

Fakorede added that the Church has made provision for those who may not be available physically and would love to be partakers of the blessing to join online. He said “We do not want anyone to miss the anniversary blessing. So, we have made arrangements for live streaming of the programs through the Church’s Facebook Page and Zoom. So, everyone is invited to join the programs virtually.”.

The theme for the program is “The Manifestation of God’s Goodness” Psalms 77:11-14. The program holds between Friday, June 23, and Sunday, June 25, 2023.

The Church is located at 23/25 Tunji Akindele Street, Off Arobaba Street, Pipeline Road, Idimu, Lagos.

Bethel Baptist Church is one of the Baptist Churches in Nigeria which are affiliated with the Nigerian Baptist Convention under the Victoryland Baptist Association of the Lagos West Baptist Conference.
